Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the sports offered?
On the classic water sports, water-skiing, the rider is standing on two skis and will be pulled with approx. 30-35 km/h by the boat. Alternatively, when mono-skiing, one ski is left behind and the rider is placing both feed on one ski. The reduced lift by the ski is compensated through a higher speed of at least 40-45 km/h. In contrast to a skier, a wakeboarder is standing sideways on one board, like on a snowboard. Wakeboarders are also pulled with approx. 30-35 km/h. Compared to this a wake surfer is going much slower, around 15 km/h, as this is the speed that enables the boat equipped with special wake shaping systems to generate a big and well shaped wave for the rider to surf on. Starting out with a rope, you'll figure it out soon and eventually be able to toss the rope and surf the wave without it just like on the ocean. Tubing is an all time classic, pulling the rider on a rubber tube behind the boat at variable speeds.
How long does it take beginners to manage the water start?
As for many things in life, there is not one true answer to this. We recommend to plan some 20 to 30 minutes per rider when trying water sports for the first time. Most people make their first successful water start on their water skis, wakeboard or wakesurf board after trying for around 3-5 times. Surely there are also riders needing less or more than that, anyway we always make sure to support with some helpful tips and tricks.
Can we switch between sports and participants on the boat?
Since the booking is always placed per boat and not per person, you're welcome to switch between different sports and riders. Anyway we recommend to keep the number of switches low in order to make sure you will get the most of your time on the water.
