No license required! When you charter a motorboat at our place we will always include a personal captain for you who has all the required licenses. This way you can comfortably enjoy your trip to Bratislava - for example with some good music and cold drinks on board.
Your exclusive boat trip starts in center of Vienna and leads you straight into the Donau-Auen national park after passing trough a boat lock. Right alongside some historic castles and idyllic nature you will reach Bratislava after approx. 2 hours.
Depending on what you planned for your trip, you can either just exit in Bratislava and send the boat back or let the boat wait while you discover the city of Bratislava to later on take the boat once again and have private transfer back to Vienna as well.
On request your trip can also be extended with some additional action or relaxing: for example, you might want to stop by in a bay to go swimming, enjoy the time on the sun deck or have some fun with wakeboard, tube & more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are travel documents required?
As you're staying within the "Schengen-Aera" when crossing the border from Austria to Slovakia and back, there are no regular border controls. Anyway there can still be random controls at the border or within the country. For EU-citizens a regular personal travel document is sufficient, for Non-EU-citizens a passport is required for the boat trip from Vienna to Bratislava.
Can we transport our luggage on the boat?
Generally you can of course bring some luggage on boat as well. Please just note that the capacity depends on the group size. For groups at the maximum size of 10 guests there should be no more than a regular size backpack or hand bag per person, on smaller groups it can be more of course. If the volume of the luggage to be transported exceeds the capacity of the boat, we're happy to help you out with organizing a road bound transport to Bratislava for your luggage.
Is it possible to go to Budapest as well?
Technically that is possible, although destinations further away from Vienna than Bratislava have long travel times by boat which come with disproportionately high costs. Therefore we only recommend the boat trip to go from Vienna to Bratislava. If you want to go to a destination further away, we recommend to take the boat to Bratislava and then go on from there by car, bus or train.
